SUMMER OUT OF OFFICE MESSAGE IDEAS

Hello Fellow Educators!

Yesterday I opened my school email and went ahead and turned my AutoReply on. It felt good—REALLY good!

I like to set up my autoreply before heading off to my summer break because that lets people know that I am away and they should not expect a response until the end of the summer! If you haven’t done yours yet and are looking for some ideas, check these out…

Short and to the point:

Hi!

I will be away for the summer from (date) to (date) and will have limited access to email. If this is an urgent matter, please contact (name, email, and phone number).

Ms. Smith

Love to share:

Hello lovely human!

Thank you so much for your email. I hope you are doing well and enjoying these amazing summer days. We are heading off to Costa Rica for four weeks to visit my cousin. He has been working on sustainable forest research in La Selva. I am so excited to learn about this amazing tropical ecology, plus I will get to practice my Spanish. We will also be visiting an active volcano, YIKES!

Well, then. There you have it! Off I go!

Pura Vida!

Ms. Smith

Summer is for learning:
