We are a team of passionate educators dedicated to early literacy and the Science of Reading.
Our team includes:

Together, we bring over 40 years of combined classroom experience across a variety of educational settings, including general education classrooms, intervention groups, and bilingual learning environments.
This diverse expertise allows us to create resources that are not only effective, but also inclusive and responsive to the needs of all learners.
Every product we design is rooted in real classroom experience and built to support how children actually learn to read.
Our Story
Sparking Creativity was built on a shared belief: every child deserves access to reading instruction that is clear, effective, and empowering.
After years in the classroom, we saw too many students struggling—not because they couldn’t learn, but because they weren’t being given the right tools. Too often, children were encouraged to guess words instead of truly learning how to decode them.
We knew there had to be a better way.
Tanya partnered with fellow educator Lauren Talanian to expand that vision. Together, they combined their classroom experience and years of supporting developing readers through targeted instruction and tutoring to create resources aligned with the Science of Reading.
Today, Sparking Creativity reflects that shared mission: helping students move from uncertainty to confidence—one sound at a time.

Meet the Founder
Tanya Paris is an award-winning educator, literacy specialist, and the founder of Sparking Creativity. With years of classroom experience and recognition as a Teacher of the Year, Tanya has dedicated her career to helping young readers develop strong foundational skills through effective, research-based instruction.
Her work with students, including years of tutoring developing readers, led to the creation of decodable books and literacy resources now used to support early reading success in classrooms and homes.
