How to Use This Book

• Show the cover and point to the title.

  • Show students how each page has a word written in red. Discuss how this helps the reader focus on each letter more clearly. It highlights important words for the readers.

Reading the Story:

• Model how to read the story aloud.
  • Point to each word as you read and focus on blending the sounds.
  • Encourage students to follow along with their fingers to keep track of the words.

• Point out the exclamation point on the last page.
  • Explain how it makes the word Me sound exciting.
  • Read the word aloud with excitement, emphasizing the punctuation to show how it affects the way we say the word.

Discussion & Comprehension:

• Ask students to talk about the things they read in the book.
  
  • Ask: "How are these things the same or different from each other?"

• Talk about the end of the story.
  • Why might the child be excited at the end?
  • Was that a good way to end the story? Why or why not?
